This is not a very scientific area (yet). There are just a few links to observations about events here that are (sometimes tenuously) connected with the weather. It would be appropriate for us to have a "proper" set of data since Ackworth was the only site in the North of England to record the rise in radiation as the effects of Chernobyl reached this country. This was due to the quick thinking of Grenville Needham who was teaching physics here at the time. As a result he was featured in an article in the 'New Scientist' magazine.
